Quite uncharacteristic for them to completely leave out the last 38 laps. :slaphead: Good thing we have other means of watching:

2000 CART at Homestead.

I also found 2 races from the American Indycar Series last night. I remember reading about that in the past but don't think i'd ever seen any races from it until I came across these yesterday.

might of posted these before but here's various videos from the Periscope Film channel. Some of these films may feature fatalities, however I haven't watched all of them so I have just listed if that year featured one in the event (practice or race)

1949 : "Behind the Checkered Flag" promotional film by what is now ExxonMobil - following Bill Holland & the Lou Moore team - WARNING: fatal crash in practice (unknown if shown or not)
1953 : "The Hottest 500" promotional film by Perfect Circle Company - WARNING: FATAL ACCIDENT IN THIS RACE
1953 : The Greatest Drama television series, episode on 500 champ & IMS president Wilbur Shaw
1954 : Indianapolis 500 - promotional film by Dodge
1955 : "The Unforgettable 500" promotional film by Perfect Circle - WARNING: MULTIPLE FATAL ACCIDENTS IN THIS RACE
1956 : "Take it from a Champion" promotional film by Champion Spark Plugs
1959 : "Victory Circles" promotional film by Perfect Circle Company - WARNING: FATAL ACCIDENTS IN PRACTICE (unclear if included)
1963 : Ford / Autoline Spark Plugs promotional film following the Lotus team at Indy & the Wood Brothers at Daytona
1964/1965 : "Gentleman, Start Your Engines" promotional film by Humble Oil (now ExxonMobil) on the 1964 & 1965 Indy 500 - WARNING: 1964 footage features FATAL ACCIDENTS
1967 : promotional film by Wynn's featuring Mickey Thompson & AJ Foyt at the Indy 500
1973 : "A Heartbeat Away" documentary film on McLaren at Indy - WARNING : FATAL ACCIDENTS IN THIS RACE
1974 : "A Ring for Every Engine" promotional film by Perfect Circle - featuring Lloyd Ruby
1975 : "The Raybestos Triple Crown Challenge" - featuring the Indianapolis 500, the Schaffer 500 at Pocono & the Ontario 500

It was just 5 wins, could have been 50. Driving for the Captain, things would've happened naturally

20 years after, the legend is still alive among drivers and race fans, all I can say is thank you Greg, thanks for the memories

Oh man, how awesome would it have been if CART raced at Hermanos Rodriguez back in the 90s? :8:

I can't believe they didn't go to Mexico sooner as there was a strong Mexican presence throughout the 90s.

would of been crazy I think in the mid 90's

however:

CART previously raced at there before that period, Rick Mears won both of the races in 1980 & 1981
