Isn't half the circuit still under the planning stages?

The bottom half is, the top half has been modified.

That's better, atleast. Get rid of 1-4 then we're talking.

first off that looks like a loooong pit in (even if they do use the one at 13). like sonoma long. also that first turn is making the guys who making the rear wheel pods just cringe. i like how 7 will probably be flat out and the 8/9 section will be damn close to flat out and hopefully provide some nice passes. all depends on the width and elevations of the track i suppose.

I really like it, from the photos I've seen. Portland is long gone now, but this track has kind of the same club circuit feel about it. Portland of the south?

Doesn't look too bad. Its built by the same guy who did Miller Motorsports Park and Barber (Wilson). Will be interesting to watch.

Looks a bit like a Mickey Mouse track.

It's mostly flat with no massive "features", but there's this fantastic stuff at the edge of the track called grass, so is instantly better than the other new-ish tracks built elsewhere.

Hmmm ok, I thought the plans were for NOLA to develop the long circuit and Indycar to use that. The circuit as is, is too small, tight and twisty. The curves at the back end, which seemingly are now being turned into the back straight, are the circuit's best feature. YAY to Indycar running on a go-kart circuit.

An amazing stat I came across today:

Al Unser Jr took 31 career wins in CART, but only 7 poles: of those 7 poles, he converted 6 of them to wins, the other was a 4th place.

Talk of a steady performer.

I really liked Portland, I wish they would go back there. Along with Cleveland

Portland, Cleveland, Laguna Seca and especially Road America.

We're still missing a lot of great tracks from the schedule. We just have to hope the series regains enough of a solid footing to go back to some or all of them eventually.
