They won't be doing free Youtube streaming now that they have the paid NBC Gold service from what I understand.

I was still hoping for a free youtube stream though, since NBC Gold is only available in the US and IndyCar did geoblocked regional free streams before this season. Was hoping for them to just geoblock it in the US and show it free in the rest of the world.
Actually I don't see any downside in this for anybody. If anything, they please the fans and the sponsors got seen by a few eyeballs more.

And ACTUALLY I was hoping for then to do this with ALL practice and qualy sessions of the season in countries where there is no other (also payed) way to see it. Really, I don't understand why not...

I know there's been no Youtube stream this year besides the support races but this is not a regular round.

Would be very dumb move as there's no official way to get NBC Gold outside of US and probably the international interest is once again a bit higher because of Alonso. I get the non-streaming of regular rounds because the interest is probably so much smaller.

Only NBC Sports Gold listed for the practice sessions. However, this is clearly an US tv schedule. Even if there was Youtube streaming, it would be obviously blocked in US.

I feel sorry for Juncos! Heard him recently on a podcast and he sounded like a really nice guy. I'll be routing for them at Indy big time! Hope they make it!

1-3 p.m.: Rookie Orientation Program, veteran refresher tests
3-6 p.m.: Open practice

Is nbc gold working for anyone else? It's just been "Initializing" and attempting to load all morning. I spent $40 for this crap and now I'm watching a low quality stream. Thanks indycar!

Be wary about that site, Avast! blocked it on my end for a 'dangerous' script.

Haha Yup that was it, I had to tweak my browser settings and ad blocker a bit to get it working but it's good now.
