I don't like the use of 'Reunion Race' here; it makes it sound like we're getting some GP Masters style event

Apparently the track is bundling in a "25th anniversary of Mario Andretti's last win" event into the race, with an autograph session and panel discussion featuring a bunch of 1990s CART-era drivers, and an exhibition of some historic Indy cars. Trying to get a similar bit of the nostalgia draw, in other words. :p

The start time should not be a problem for Europeans - there's nothing really worth getting up for on Sunday morning so we can lie in instead. Paris-Roubaix at midday.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Can skip the first hour of BTCC coverage probably. Much waffling, ignoring the supports until the first BTCC race as always.

I forgot about BTCC. Too busy with work.

There does seem at times to be something in Tim Harvey's contract that guarantees him at least 2 hours of speaking time across the entire broadcast.

Unless there's decent tire wear, I have a hard time seeing much passing. Nothing against IndyCar or anything. There's just too much grip left in the new surface and probably still naturally too much downforce for them to get much done in traffic.

Oh BTCC trying their hardest to clash with F1

Surprising

The track has sent their tyre contraption around the middle of the track to try and encourage a second groove. See if it works tomorrow.

I don't actually remember Phoenix being a passfest in any era, even when IRL were throwing a ton of downforce at their cars to make them pack race, phoenix was immune.

Wrecks, however....yeah it was a wreckfest

I think the racing will be better than the past 2 years, but that's not saying much. Hopefully the tire dragon can help some.

only live broadcast known so far for the Silver Crown race is the radio feed on the USAC app.

Bourdais steals pole at the death. Pretty decent field spread on a 20-second lap. Fittipaldi did well in 10th. Kaiser 14th. Dixon 17th.

Wickens starts directly behind Rossi.

Looked like most of the field was sticking to the bottom in the final practice. At least it seems that the new aerokit will help the racing still.

Just clicked on the Formula Drift stream while trying to find nationwide, Long Beach is already completely built and hosting an event?

What a shame they couldn't do a Monaco and host A classic event the weekend before the Indycar race.
Hell, even formula E would be better than drifting.

They had a huge fire in the 20 seconds I watched too. Looked like they were completely unprepared for it the way they were flapping about....
