That must be very difficult but he's a strong guy, mentally and physically.

It's good to see him functioning relatively well though. That crash was insane.

Did you read the text? As far as I know, this is the first confirmation of paraplegia.

Yup I read it.

Hopefully he can regain some functioning in his lower body, but to return to racing is probably not going to happen.

so sad to see him struggle, if there's anyone that can get it back it's him though. At least he has some minor movement, as that's better than none at all. Seems very similar to what Kevin Swindell went through after his crash at Knoxville (same deal in terms of hitting bottom first into the track surface.

Missed that Instagram of Wickens here above. He's positive and dedicated, but it hurts so much to watch. :(

He's doing some good progress and removed his spine brace since: https://eu.indystar.com/story/sports/mo ... 998236002/

I wish I had one third of the will power that Wickens has.

I also wish I had one third of the wickens Will Power has.

"Wickens" here is a metaphor for "balls"? Because Wickens is the Balls right now.

Imagine all that training, not to noticeably improve or get stronger, but just come back to a fraction of your former self (physically) with zero hope of regaining it all, realistically. Just maintenance training for a regular person is hard enough, I would just give up. But that's probably why I'm sitting in an office, and not driving in a top level motorsport series.
