Just saw the replay of Rosenqvist's crash again, and boy, when he came down, how close was Power to pull a Dixon :8:

Never would have expected an Indycar to hit where Rosenqvist came to a stop, but happy to see there was a thick bundle of tires right where they needed to be.

They added that after that huge Indy Lights crash a few years ago.

I'm really concerned for McLaren. They missed the open test due to electrics, missen P1 due to gearbox issues and missed most of yesterday due to Nando crashing it. Now they have to unwrap their Carlin built backup which is most likely an older car of some sort and see how fast that goes with only 2 days of practice left before qualifying. We really actually might not see them in the race.
Bumbing will be insane! A shame they changed the usual trial and error for a shootout.

Well, shit. Remember when IndyCar was praised for it's friendly social media behaviour?

I get copyright, protecting your investment and other greedy corporate bullshit, but as long as I cannot pay for the product anyway, what's the fucking harm in me watching a 30secs clip on twitter?Well done NBC and IndyCar for bending over.

Well... I get it from an NBC perspective. They purchased the USA rights for these practice sessions to earn money with it via selling NBC Gold subscriptions.
IndyCar is clearly to blame here for not buying the rights to the NBC Gold production to publish it (payed or not) in the rest of the world.
If the worldwide rights to the production would be with IndyCar, NBC couldn't demand to remove them.

Not sure if something changed overnight, but McLaren said they will rebuilt the main car and aren't looking to build up the spare.

I've seen pictures of them unwrapping the spare car yesterday afternoon.

Yes, they are harvesting the T tub for parts as lots of parts on the primary tub were smushed yesterday afternoon and need replacing.

How much speed do you guys think they'll pick up on Friday? 3 to 4 mph?

If non-tow is 224.5, if the weather is good (cool and dry) with the wick turned up we might see a 230 lap but I doubt it. 3-4 is a good estimate for Friday. Come Pole day with the cars trimmed out, we might break 230 if conditions are right.
