I think most people are waiting for the new car aren't they?

Was interesting to see four cars battle into the final corner in a practice session.

Leist was fastest in first practice.

Every year the same old story.
I'd give up ever expecting a big field out of lights, it's been the same way for decades now.

Fortunately it's about the only downer around indycar right now

They should merge Indy Lights into IndyCar. Create 2-class Indy racing.

That'd be awesome.

That'd make short oval races as exciting as they were in the 90s

So listening to Bob Lazier just now, I made a short calculation, assuming they make it to Indy, we should have 35 entries.

Pag has been in the wall.

RHR fastest with a 1:00.8295. Can't remember and too lazy to google practice times or weather last year, but this is a second faster than last year's pole.

All 24 cars within 102.5% of the fastest time, even Binder.

If Indy keeps snowballing in popularity, and has a lot going to keep it, this problem should resolve itself.
