Where the fuck has Rahal come from this season?

His father's stepped down from the wall and now can drive as he wants to rather then what his father tells him over the radio. That's all I can see.

Wonder if they will penalize JPM for his comments.

So not sure what happened here but I completely missed this race. I looked at my DVR recordings to see what time the race was and it was listed at 6pm EST. Oh well.

Indeed. So I'm guessing it was broadcast live on another of NBC's stations.

Didn't need many more reasons to dislike Karam after his on track antics this year but this is the nail in the coffin. He couldn't even do a decent job of deliberately spinning a car.

indeed :) But I also want Montoya to win the championship. Montoya was the man of the first half of the season, Rahal the man of the second half. Good that both drivers are in contention for the title though

Sage Karam kicks ass. Love how he makes everything so much more exciting! He will have some career. :)

As much as it is easy to dislike Karam to this point, let's remember who his team boss is and therefore who this incident stinks of.

I'll be curious to see if they have any in-car audio.

There will be but it largely means nothing. It is unlikely that Ganassi or any of the crew would explicitly demand Karam to spin. Even looking at what played out in Singapore 2008, there were coded messages that the FIA took a long while to decipher.

Yeah, but I'm just wondering if like they flat out told Sage that Dixon had pitted, things of that nature.

Karam said that the team told him to change his brake bias and that put him out of concentration. Who knows, maybe they even decided it's "go time" for any of the cars when they ask to change the brake bias during the race. They asked him and that was his signal to do it now. Hard to prove something like that.

Good race, one of the more exciting ones from Mid Ohio. I wonder if Wilson was just showing what he could have done at the restart?
