Was it really worth running practice today for less than 30 minutes if they knew the weather was going to be awful?

Yes. Warm up the cars, make sure every thing works and iron out any kinks overnight.

I was surprised to see the top cars with laps hitting 228 and 229 so quickly. Might we actually see some mega speeds this week after all?

29 cars went out for at least one lap, and Rahal sounded a little disappointed that he didn't manage to make it out for a third run. It wouldn't save any money to pre-emptively abandon all activity as everyone that you were paying to be there would still be getting paid regardless.

A 10am start today may be optimistic as it has rained during the night and there may be more to come. But the afternoon looks fine.

Rain again at the moment but weather should get better over the day.

Today's activity has been extended until 7pm and tomorrow will start 2 hours earlier at 10am.

This rain is such a buzzkill. The balls can't be bluer.

So where are we at now for those of us at work and not wanting to go through the whole indycar live/finding a stream experience if it's still raining and the track is WET

Cars are being rolled into the pits, coverage starts in 5.

Problem is they took it away for international fans who couldn't get Peacock.
