Round 5 of this year's championship takes place this weekend at the second new venue of the season. It is the first event in South Africa (and southern Africa as a whole).

The circuit is laid out around Cape Town Stadium in the Green Point district, and is one of the fastest in the series' history.

Big crash for Buemi in FP1. The circuit looks pretty good. Fast and flowing.

There was also another crash earlier in qualifying involving Bird and Mortara, and both Mahindra and ABT have withdrawn due to concerns over their suspension.

I have only seen the crashes, and I'm expecting a big pileup on lap 1 in that corner

This track is crazy for Formula E standards, feels like they're having full on oval crashes in turn 9, goddamn

And the speed of it, how are they going to conserve energy?

Could be very interesting at the end...
