these cars need a turbodiesel attached to an alternator to fill up the battery during the race

The cars already have an energy recovery system similar to the rear brakes on F1 cars, the thing is even if you drove round with the alternator on all the time, it still wouldn't ever produce more energy than the car is drawing, this so called "over-unity" is the holy grale of energy production that people have been chasing their tails over for decades and will never be reality under the present laws of physics.

Yes well, that's why they're called range extenders I guess

Petrol cars also don't top themselves up while you're driving either, so I never got why that was a critique to hang on Battery-pack racing

No-one is pretending these things won't need charging up, just like NA cars need fueling.
In this era of phone/tablet/laptop and everything else it'll just hopefully one more thing that needs charging overnight in the future, with any luck

Can someone please investigate why the most unlikable douche in the sport continues to win the fan boost?
Something shady is going on there imo, especially when he doesn't even use the damn thing

Any time you have a fan vote, especially in today's digital age of hacks and cracks, it's always suspect to me.

IDK, just like people don't believe Massa should have won 2007 over Raikkonen easily if it wasn't for breaking down the engine twice when he was better, or even more so 2008 where all the bad luck and Ferrari bad pit-stops and strategys cost him over 30% of the amount of points he did.

Or that there's still Montoya fans, eventhough he hasn't won jack for real besides one race since 2003.

Or Penske who still trust Helio Castroneves, the driver who has more races for him on Indycars, now at ALMS. Cause Penske had such a bad era with Helio, like they were nowhere the last 20 years.

Also, the worlds biggest douche? Who? Di Grassi?
