Clipsal must be the most expensive round for the Utes drivers.

Each year they tear up some serious equipment there.... :8:

http://www.speedcafe.com/2014/03/01/v8-supercars-confirms-free-air-tv-package/

In summary, the only races being shown live free-to-air will be Adelaide, Townsville, Bathurst, Sydney, Gold Coast & Sandown rounds (previously Darwin was going to be shown instead of Sandown, which would have been really stupid.) There will be one-hour highlights packages of some sorts shown on at 8:30pm on One & 11:30pm on Ten on both Saturday & Sunday on race weekends for the other events, and at 4:00pm on the Sunday of the race weekend. Foxtel will show full practice, qualifying & race coverage, as well as having two magazine shows (V8Extra & another show.) Channel Ten wiill be reintroducing RPM.

Only questions not answered are how much the Foxtel package will cost (hasn't been figured out yet) & what's happening to the support categories.

Going off on his own fluid was inevitable I guess.

The blokes a bloody great driver, but I always feel slightly dissapointed when he wins the first race after all the pre-season hope of change this season lol

That acceleration zone after a SC is going to cause a huge mess at one point this season

Always nice to see Whincup lose. Got booed on the podium as well, I don't think I've noticed that before.

What fantastic racing. Awesome to see Swedish engineering fighting among the top at once! The Volvo sounds nice. And McLaughlin is one hell of a driver.

That said, I'm in no way in favor of the new race format. Clipsal used to be special, and the sprint format really takes that away.

A great. position swapping battle for second place nearly makes us ignore the leader as he crosses the line....
Where have we heard that before? :p

Great finish, not too much can be argued against the new format when it's producing great races like these, tbh.

Someone tell MotorsTV what year we're in. Can't believe this is still happening in 2014
