Sounds like Dave Newsham is back at Speedworks for 2014

Kia have confirmed they will not enter a works team in the BTCC - according to Autocar.

Interesting. They've said they won't enter a "works" team, not that they won't enter at all. Or am I reading too much into it?

Motorbase are confirmed to return in 2014 with what is looking likely to be a 3 car effort.

They tested Josh Files amongst others at Snett this week. They also tested Fiesta Jnr champ JJ Ross in the s2000 focus. I don't think that's the last you will see of JJ

WSR will run 3 cars in 2014. No word on drivers yet.

Duly done. I think we'll see a similar line-up for WSR and depending on how many cars Motorbase run Jackson/Smith/TOC and maybe Cammish.

I like the idea of the TBL and the fact there could be a possible 34 cars on the grid at an event.

That all sounds very good to me. Anything that increases the quality of the field is a positive move.

I do like the adjustment to the three-strikes rule. 6 places wasn't anywhere near enough of a penalty.

Aiden Moffat confirmed for 2014 with Neate's NGTC Cruze

The best news about that is hopefully there wont be any Andy Neate.

That's what I was thinking. Moffat acquitted himself very respectfully last year. Glad to see him on the grid, especially as it means Neate won't be.

Not necessarily. He put the car up for sale to help fund the builds of two new cars. I don't understand the logic when he could have just kept running the car he already had, but that was the plan.
