Yes, BTCC is on this weekend....

Yes, it goes right up against the F1.... :yuk:

Croft isn't my favourite track, but it matters not because the BTCC can put on fantastic action whatever the track!

ITV4 on air at 11:30pm. Which probably means the 1st BTCC race will be on about 12:15pm or something, right smack in F1 Buildup time....

And this isn't important for the thread, but sadly I won't be able to be with you on Sunday ranting and bitching away as I'll be doing my podcasting thang for #F1inpubs so will have to tape this race.
Alan Gow, NO MORE CLASHES FOR 2013 PLEASE!!

BTCC got forced into this situation because ITV need ITV4 clear for the Tour de France (30 June to 22 July) and then they don't want to go up against the Olympics.

F1 will be being recorded then.

I'll be interested to see how well Owy gets on, we haven't really seen what the Swindon-engined Avensis is capable of yet.

What an incredibly poor opening post, btw :p

Reekris :(

Well Mods can change it as they see fit, thought it was best to get the word out there that this was actually on this weekend instead of next, which I previously thought.

Croft already? That's fantastic.

I think there needs to be a poll in this thread guessing how many sandwich related puns we will see this weekend.

Personally I used up quota last round, but I wouldn't mind seeing another issue for Plato in race one which means he'll start for the tail end of race two. Seeing That'll give him another chance to gobble up the field on the way to an astonishing result.

Go PON!

Good news - not only is Paul O'Neill back, but so is Rob Austin! He's getting the second Audi out alongside Will Bratt :)

They'll put the Clios to shame (both in racing terms and possibly crashes, lol).

Also, who gives a thru'pny fuck if it's up against F1 at Valencia - a duller spectacle one cannot imagine. May record that and skip through it later on fast forward, lol.

That's what I'm doing. Which probably means F1 will be great.

He's not Rob Austin remember, it's Roberto Austini! :p

Has to be F1 for me for obvious reasons. Will try and catch BTCC at some point throughout the day, or Monday!

Looks like it's just me, Pimmy, Gaara and a few assorted others for the BTCC then.

Yeah, sadly I'm away this weekend. I've had to Sky+ BTCC, Indycar, NASCAR, F1, GP2, GP3... Going to keep me busy next week!

I never used to be a big fan of Croft. Recently I've really enjoyed the races here though. Probably the fact that BTCC is pretty good everywhere, and it rains lots up north.

Last race for about 8 weeks too, due to the Summer of Sport we're enduring :(

Looks like it's going to be wet on Sunday, with a few sunny spells. Might make it interesting.
