And last I heard Neate was struggling financially a bit so there may be some truth in not seeing Neate next year.

As much as I like having Speedworks in the BTCC, they are a very underwhelming team. They've barely achieved anything of merit in their 3 seasons and never look likely to make a significant step forward in performance. We know Newsham is a good driver but even he struggled with that team last season.

Definitely. If Newsham could achieve the things he did in a an ancient Vectra run by Team Chav, then there's no real excuse for Speedworks still being so far behind the other NGTC teams. Jackson has had some stability at the team too and was always well at the back.

I'd be really interested to see what Newsham could do in one of HARD's cars - they were making some real progress with the Passat (in TOC's hands at least) and with Goff's Insignia at season's end.

Secondly, Triple 8 look to expanding to 3 cars as they are advertising for BTCC staff, something the advert specifically says (as they run in British GT's too)

And also, neither Shedden nor Neal were testing with Dynamics at the same test that Turkington drove at for HARD so not really sure who was behind the wheel and also Chris Smiley had a go in the MG as his prize for winning the Mini Challenge.

Better late than never for Chris Stockton I suppose. I quite like the hatchback look, although it reminds me of the hatchback Imprezza. Does their non-participation in 2013 affect their 2014 entry?

It will because they did not compete in 50% of BTCC 2013, therefore they do not have an automatic grid slot.

They were testing one today at Donington, it was Frank Wrathalls car, I didn't recognise the driver, but part of me wants to say it was James Cole.
