Any news on if Muller got a penalty for tapping Thompson off on race 1? The only angle shown wasn't really good enough to assigne blame, but it'd definately make the championship a bit tighter..

I doubt a penalty will have been given. It was probably seen as a racing incident. Also you need to look back at how penalties have been issued earlier in the season as well, and they have been pretty poorly administered. Tarquini at Monza? Cuts the first chicane, gains half a dozen places and is given a 5 race grid penalty.... At Oschersleben Tarquini (again) blatantly takes out Priaulx in race 1 and his penalty is that he is to start at the back of the grid, despite retiring and by default having to start at the back...

WTCC Presented by SEAT :whistling:

You have to wonder really, rules were changed in SEAT's favour, those penalties that were exactly penalties like kals showed.

A total of 7 drivers have won race 1 this year. 7 drivers have won also in race 2, but amazingly no one has yet won in race 1 and race 2 this year, even in different races.

IMO Nicola Larini has best chance to win race of those who have not won yet.

IMO it was a racing incident. Yvan didn't really want to push Thompson. I saw Thompson going wide to take his turn and to prevent Muller from overtaking him and so they collided.

Anyway Yvan did a perfect job last year and this year and a championship win would be well deserved ! He lost many BTCC championships thanks to Plato and the 2007 WTCC one thanks to an electric failure or something like that... I hope the luck will be with him this year :)

btw great race for Tom Coronel with a non diesel Seat
