Yeah the move and win for Sheds was fair. Only one person is ever going to be unhappy in that type of situation and that's the person who fails to win.

3 good races and 5 winners from 6 races. Not bad so far.

Penalties
Fabrizio Giovanardi received a post-race 30 second time penalty in race three for two separate incidents. He was judged to have exceeded track limits and was also penalised for causing a collision with Aron Smith

Tom Ingram was excluded from the race three result for causing a collision with Rob Austin

Rob Austin is under investigation for allegedly causing a collision with Jack Goff. This will be reviewed at Thruxton on Saturday 3 May

Why are they waiting to review an incident?

Well what do you know - it gives MG more points...

Guessing it's because Austin retired from the race so would be a grid penalty for the next race

A scrappy day of racing, too many crashes for my liking. BTCC isn't as good in the wet as it is in the dry.

Agreed, especially in race 2 the safety cars made it hard to get a flow to the race. Suspect its also a consequence of the increased grid numbers, however I'd rather have more cars and more incident than fewer cars and nothing happening. Usually get one or two crazy rounds a year, maybe Donington was this years?

Also disappointed to see there was a slo mo camera at the chicane but it only get used in the ending highlights, would have been nice in some of the quieter support races.

When you've got that many tightly performing cars attempting to occupy the same piece of real estate, the increasing volume of incidents in inevitable.

As for Austin, it was announced he was under review very early into race 3. I thought the review was for his start where he was creeping.
