They are the Triple 8 cars apparently, confirming that 888 will be using new cars in 2012 - if they remain in the series.

And of course the Pirtek cars were up for sale too (moving to Civics, aren't they), so I wonder who'll snap them up? There's definately a bumper selection of suitable cars to go racing next year, even if they won't all get filled.

What was that team that bought 2 Alfas (ex-Pinkney/Marsh IIRC), painted them avacado green, turned up to the media day at Rockingham, then never appeared again? Run by Luther Blissett wasn't it? That has to be the worst entry in a while.

Ahh an "announced, tested but never raced" thread, probably would have some mileage, though I sense it has been done on the old board!

Is it a complete withdrawl or are they still running cars next year in BTCC too, as I know that was a strong possibility as Neate wanted to remain in the UK?

Chilton is good but is fairly overhyped. He believes in himself far too much. Gabriele Tarquini would vouch for that.

As for Arena, their plan was to migrate to WTCC as the Ford (semi)works team for 2012, leaving Motorbase as the "official" Ford team in the BTCC.

Complete withdrawl. Mike Earle has said he only wants to do one series. Grahame Chilton (the money man) is pushing for Tom to do the WTCC.

Neate will have to find another drive. Good luck with that.
