There are more pressing issues at hand at the moment. Like getting a world championship to acceptable levels in terms of racing product, driving standards and corporate support. When the FIA has the ultimate product sorted out, then they can figure out how to manufacture a touring car talent pool.

Also, isn't ETCC pretty much the feeder category now?

etcc is only for 4 rounds with wtcc and most of the cars are pretty old (there will be 2 alfa 156 on the grid this year)

BTCC is fine thanks, don't you go fucking about with it FIA...

Having said that, isn't Gow also head of the touring car commission?

Hopefully they'll just see what he's done with the BTCC and copy and paste it around the world.

Also, is ETCC out this weekend at Paul Ricard?

Would make sense now wouldn't it?

But I guess the FIA has final say over Gow.

That's not big, he just clipped the tyre stack.

You know what makes running the race one week after the opener even more stupid? That they're running it the same weekend as F1, WEC and BTCC. Who the fuck is going to be watching?

The optimistic part of me says that they were just taking it easy because it was the first round, hopefully that's the case.

That was indeed the case. The Citroen drivers are free to race tomorrow.

Sounds like the FIA

But good, that dull shitty track needs all the help it can get to put on a good race.

Stream for ETCC race? Are Eurosport showing it at all this year? :?

I don't know about any streams, but I would like one too...
The race 1 looked pretty good according to live timing...

I watched it, it was quite good indeed.

Race 2 is starting now and it's wet of course.
