Not a very exciting race, but safe and a mega win for Seeley!

Red flag for rain. Sensible choice.

Bloody hell, Bruce Anstey has cancer :(

Quote:
Wellington's Bruce Anstey is unlikely to compete in the 2018 road racing season as he battles a serious illness.

The 48-year-old, who has claimed 13 Isle of Man TT wins, has "multiple tumours in his lungs and a tumour on his spine".

He partner Annie Ramsey said on Facebook that Anstey also has a "blood clot on the lung just to kick him while he's down".

"He is waiting for a treatment plan and should be starting it very soon," she said.

"I doubt very much Bruce will see any racing this year, but we won't rule that out lol!."

BUMP

So, with the North West having just taken place and the TT right around the corner, anyone following the current season?

I found this great Youtube channel that publishes high quality highlights from BBC NI:

Rider ok, restarted race was fine! Superstocks up now, polesitter Glenn Irwin opts out, does not want to take any risks in these conditions. Seeley on pole instead.

Quite a few riders have decided not to risk the conditions.

Jeremy McWilliams is such a legend. 58 years old, 22 years ago he so nearly beat Valentino Rossi at Donington in similar conditions. Very upset that the Supertwins race has been cancelled.
