I'm quite surprised by BMW's slow pace. Even if they're fielding their "second team" (with great riders, though), their progress during the last season suggested they might be in contention for regular podiums or race wins this year. It's still a pre-season testing, but they're constantly slower than most private Ducatis.

Johnny Rea and Tom Sykes are the ones i will be supporting this year.

Post subject:  Re: 2011 Superbike World Championship

Australian rider Bryan Staring has got himself a wildcard ride at Phillip Island on the second Pedercini Kawasaki. Pedercini still haven't confirmed their second rider for the rest of the year, it's between Gabor Talmacsi and Lucas Pesek. I'm leaning towards Pesek, Talmacsi wasn't especially impressive during testing.

Also important: onboard cameras are back, they'll be using them from Donington onwards. 8 bikes will be fitted with two cameras each. 7 of the top 10 get them, and then one other rider is randomly assigned the remaining ones.

which they have

Great news.

When was the last time we saw them...2002 (on Colin Edwards Honda)?

Great! Aitchison is a very talented and underrated rider. Too bad he won't have the fastest bike of the bunch, presumably.

Apparently the inner lining of the rear tyres got so hot during the race that they blistered and let all the air out almost immediately.

Also Sam Lowes completely deserved the win. I think Simon Buckmaster knew that it was purely because of his team's bike being down on power that they only got 3rd.

Second pole position in a row for Checa. Birlliant second for Sykes with Haslam third.

Biaggi acting like an ass both on and off track, just like he's used to do we he feels too much pressure.

Biaggi got in the way of everyone today, he even knocked Fabrizio off during practice.

Tom Sykes has been doing some ridiculous things with that Kawasaki as well. Watch him coming out of Redgate, he wheelies it while still leaned over! Nice to see Kawasaki back up there as well, 3rd's a great effort.
