What a finish! We need to see this kind of Dani Pedrosa more on track.

Jonny Rea might be replacing Stoner if he can't race in Misano and Aragon.

Wut, why so many British drivers suddenly.

At least he has some talent unlike those Japanese test drivers.

Yes! Rea's talents are largely being forgotten being on an underfinanced underdeveloped Honda in WSBK. His dedication to Honda needs to be rewarded.

Perhaps now that Stoner is all but out of the title hunt and as he's heading back to Aus to fix his ankle he may choose to sit out the rest of the season and thus retire prematurely? It's not the way I'd like to see him go but maybe he'll not be prepared to risk his health anymore for no end result?

As for the race, that was a stunner. Even before the last lap it was a great battle. Edge of your seat kind of stuff between Pedrosa and Lorenzo. And that last lap, wow. It made Barcelona a few years back look mediocre.

Stoner wants to come back before Phillip Island though, he's not done yet. Personally I can see him coming back in a few years anyway.

It'd be great to see Rea get a permanent MotoGP gig. Bautista is out of Gresini, so maybe he can go there?

Yeah I was thinking that. Rea is still young, mid-twenties I think and Honda need a secondary protegee outside Marc Marquez. However the fly in that ointment is that Spies is being heavily linked with Gresini for 2013. Which is a surprise as I reckon Spies would be better and more deserving of a top flight spot in WSBK rather than fighting for 6th place in MotoGP.

You're probably right about Stoner, I had forgotten Philip Island was to come and him winning there would be a nice send off. I'm off the same opinion as you that he'll probably get bored at home and make a return in a few years. That is unless he gets a spot in V8 and starts winning.

It'd be great if Honda and Yamaha could expand to three bikes. I know we have Gresini and Tech 3, but there's lot of very good riders out there. If you look at how Bradl has fared this season - and the previous 250cc champions - you look at Moto2 and think that Espargaro, Luthi, Iannone and Redding could do quite well.

In fact, I'm really hoping that the top boys in Moto3 make the step up to Moto2 next year. Vinales, Cortese, Fenati and co are a good bunch as well!

Scott Redding is one of the only things that makes me feel proud to have grown up in Gloucester. As much as I like Bradley Smith, Scott is the far more talented rider.

Almost 100 entries for Moto2 and Moto3 next season apparently.

Scott is awesome in personality and driving. I think his big posture isn't in his advantage in the lower classes like Moto3 and Moto2, but I think he might do fine in MotoGP.

I hope the Ducati Jnr team plans come to fruition then as having Redding and Iannone would be a great line up.

Gresini says he wants to retain Bautista, but he has talked to Spies and Redding.

What about keeping Pirro and a CRT bike for 2013?

Well Suzuki was seen testing a bike for 2014, not the CRT shit Aprillia is doing but a proper prototype. So the series will find it's way back I guess.
