Awesome and the track looks nice.
But, it's very difficult to bring spectators there. After Mika Kallio became a test rider, there's been no channel that shows MotoGP in Finland. And it's been 10 years since it was shown FTA anyway, so the fanbase is comparable to WTCC. Only F1 would get full attendance.

7 or 8 riders crashed out so far, think the conditions might be getting worse. Leader just aquaplaned at turn 1 but only kissed the gravel and managed to keep their lead.

I'm already there! Hope the track will have a train line running across it.

Yeah because motorbikes and Formula 1 cars are the exact same thing they are totally relatable and interchangeable

Tell me why F1 drivers should be more scared of racing in the wet than MotoGP riders?

I think aquaplaning is the main problem for the F1 cars, especially as with the current rules they can't even change the cars set up for wet conditions if quali is dry. Much less of a problem for bikes with narrower tyres and no ride height issues.

Spray is also less of an issue as there's half the number of tyres kicking up spray.

Bike racing does seem to be much braver when it comes to wet running, WSBK at Nurburgring a few years ago springs to mind where the conditions were atrocious and they kept running.

Marquez's team called it perfectly, Rossi and Yamaha have to be pretty embarrassed with how that turned out. Good run for Miller, have to wonder how they would have finished had they pitted earlier though.

like in F1, if you don't pit early, you're screwed

and what about Lorenzo, didn't believed when some people here say he's like Nico Rosberg, that guy can't race in the rain

A masterstroke of genius by Marquez and HRC, whereas almost every other team and rider gave that race away to Marquez and HRC.

Well, not long until the Finnish government throws some $30 m, of Finnish tax payers's money, into Uncle Bernard's pocket so that you guys can have a race there :whistling: :p

Pawi is on a completely different league to all other riders on Moto3, wet-wise. He's either mega good on such conditions or the others are all shit or a bit of both.

I get what you're saying, but refusing to start a race on a wet track after rain has stopped falling, and starting a race in a deluge that gets worse and then red flagging it after 14 laps, are not on par with each other.

If F1 eased off their rain phobia just a little bit we might actually have a race that shakes up the running order and allows someone not in a Mercedes, RB or Ferrari to shine. F1 desperately needs a bit of unpredictability at the moment. Or I could just continue to ignore it and focus on MotoGP, which seems to respect its fans a lot more atm.
