Big risk from Dorna to sign a contract with a track that hasn't even started being built yet

Yay Donnington, much better motor track than Silverstone.

Donington is also (and always will be) a far better track than the new one they're intending to build in Wales.

True, but regarding motorcycle races donnington can't be beaten in the UK. Hope we will get a similar situation like the F1 Silverstone/Donnington saga in F1. Where the Wales track won't show up and we end up getting Donnington for the next couple of years.

Just a small point, but Donington.... not Donnington

(Agree with your point though, this will be like Donington attempting to take F1 away from Silverstone. It won't happen)

Aprilia have flattered to deceive in top line motorcycle racing the past 10-15 years. A WSBK title thanks to a homologation special and next to no achievement of merit in MotoGP due to a half-assed approach to bike and engine design means that I'm skeptical. We'll see though. Fingers crossed.

I wonder what happens to Scott Redding now as he has a contract that guarantees him a works Honda in 2015. But they've all been allocated.

Maybe Apprillia used the CRT/Open class the last years as a test for next years (I assume they did in some way). I doubt Apprillia and Suzuki will be able to fight for podiums in the upcoming year(s) but hell I take every manufacturer. Gresini is a good team with the right equipment and people around (as SImoncelli and Melandri showed) It looks like they will abandon WSBK as Melandri is going back with them to MotoGP and Guintoli is most likely to be on a Ten Kate Honda for next year.

Scott Redding is pretty much gauranteed on a works Honda, just not known which team though http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2014/Redd ... s+for+2015
