I love the track on iRacing, but boy this track sucks in real life.

Needs to go back to asphalt.

Dover doesn't have spectacular racing but I don't mind it. I'll watch or have it on in the background.

Asphalt or concrete, it'll still be garbage as long as the tapered spacer continues to exist.

Huh? Tapered spacer was only introduced this year but races here have been sucking for awhile.

Dover is probably one of the worst aero tracks around. Remember 2011, when Mark Martin stayed out and managed to finish 2nd and Edwards/Johnson took 4 and made no ground?

It's the cars that suck, not the track or its surface.

Dover used to be decent back in the pre-COT era.

There was one good race in the CoT era: Fall 2008. Biffle won after an awesome battle with Kenseth and Edwards. Otherwise, you're spot on.

Just hoping for Truex to close the deal this weekend on his home track.

I'm hoping for a Joey Logano flip down the turn 3 banking.

This track also normally separates apart the cars with just a tiny difference in the performance. In fall 08 it was great because there were a nice difference between long vs short run cars. Besides the top 3 in 4th it was Mark Martin wich was even a more longer run car but one or 2 cautions spoiled him.

I'd be willing to bet lower series races at Dover at still great, it's just nascar that has outgrown it with its shitty aero dependancy.
Sorta like how F1 outgrew Hungary in the 90s and the races were dull as balls until recently with all the tyre stuff they became some of the best races of the season

Plus all it takes is one little problem on the back stretch and you have a pile up worthy of and they walked away proportions

I'd also really like to view a race from the bridge over the back straight too. The races might be boring but I bet watching from there would make it exciting.

Most Dover races just stay green with Johnson pulling further and further away

I'm hoping for Donnie Neuenberger ARCA brake antics.

The K&N East races there are pretty good.

Dover is probably the only track where they keep piling in. Even at Bristol they can avoid.

More issues with tungsten ballast in Nationwide practice. Someone dropped a chunk, Carl Long hit it in the corner, lost the radiator, and caught both outside and inside walls off T4.
