Well, it's the only way to determine the 2014 Sprint Cup Champion. It was different last year, and it may be different again next year, but if you want a 2014 dated championship trophy, this is how the game is played. Do you think Richard Petty gives a fuck that only 2 of his 7 championships were under the beloved Latford points system? Sometimes they earned points for miles completed, sometimes they changed the system yearly. They had half a point points. Do you think Jimmie Johnson gives a fuck that his 6 are under the Chase format? I didn't start the thread because I was trying to piss off the NASCAR haters, I just wanted to see who everyone thought would advance through the rounds. |

That would be hilarious - some say his title-winning season with one win is the cause for the Chase in the first place. I agree 110% that him winning the title this year without winning a single race would be EPIC. Count me in among those who would love to see that happen. Unless he wins a race between here and Homestead, then JAFF all the way. |
