Ragan was fastest today in Cup first practice. Stenhouse led the first N'wide session (they have a second session for the day currently in progress).

Breaking news: Stenhouse won't win. A cup regular will.

Pavement Racing is Shit IMO

Quote:
41 32 Ken Schrader Big Red Ford 178.106 30.319 174.284 40 46
42 71 Andy Lally # Interstate Moving Services Ford 177.690 30.390 173.450 38 38
43 95 David Starr(i) WRL General Contractors Ford 177.626 30.401 175.386 12 21
44 37 Tony Raines Front Row Motorsports Ford 173.986 31.037 172.726 15 18

How the fuck is the 37 that far off, even if it is race trim? I know its a Gunselman Car but I thought they had a Yates Motor at least?

Hell its the 95's first race and they aren't very far off from making it.

I wish Tony Raines had a quality ride. Dude has so much talent.

Then again I wish that for all the drivers that I like who are to old and can't bring money to a ride.

A horse will start on Nationwide pole tonight in Texas. It's one of the more competitive lineups of the season though with 25 cars within one second of the pole.

It's easy to see why the racing just isn't as exciting this year. It has it's bright spots every now and then but on those long runs they just spread out like never before.

Look at this years field and the gaps to the polesitter: http://nationwide.nascar.com/nationwide ... 1/lineup/6

Compared to last years lineup: http://nationwide.nascar.com/nationwide ... 0/lineup/7

2010 top 38 within a second
2011 top 25 within a second

bitch bitch bitch

The Speed booth guys mentioned someone's 87th birthday, I look up at the screen and they have the camera on Mark Martin.

Also some slow cars ran their laps. Whatev.

EDIT: Ragan knocks a horse off of the Cup pole.

EDIT2: O HAI REMEMBER WEN MCDOWELL ROLLED IN QUALIFYING AT TEJAS? LET'S SHOW THAT AGAIN

Nothing at all from the Nationwide race? lol
Yeah, pretty boring. Edwards leading easily. 1 caution for Richardson spinning.
Jennfier Jo Cobb aparentally can't derp enough on her own, so her crew got her a penalty under green flag stops for a rolling tire.

Kyle Busch crashes! I think the finish of this race is about to be upgraded from ignored to DVR-ed!

That was amazing timing for Schendel to have a problem.
