What crawled up your arse and died?

They have so many tyres go down it's no wonder people jump on them.

Anyone else think double file restarts @ Martinsville are dumb? Imagine running 2nd with 5 laps left and the caution comes out. Great. Now you have to fight tooth and nail to not lose 4, 5, maybe more positions on the restart

It is kinda what NASCAR was aiming for. They want fans on the edge of there seats during the last few laps.

But yeah, I like the old way better but I hate change.

If it ain't broke why mess with it.

It has created some good finishes though so eh whatever.

The "new" cars have a worse center of gravity than they've had in years, they're heavy, they have very little downforce, they've regained the speed lost from before the old car was ditched, and the tires are absolutely punished in the same direction of force for long periods at a time. In the top leagues of racing, no tire manufacturers have to deal with what Goodyear faces in NASCAR. How about you all give them a little bit of a break.

And nothing in particular "crawled up my arse and died." It's just really tiring at times with all the lazy, short-sighted criticism. Nothing about racing is easy for anyone involved. It's almost as if some of you all are repeatedly watching a race for the first time.

Michelin in '05? After that all the punctures Michelin suffered came under inspection.

FIA have been very anti-Michelin ever since, NASCAR sticks by Goodyear even through their tyre fuckups but I suppose the money paid to be the official tyres helps them.

Goodyear at Indy in 2008 were worse. They were able to do a ton of testing and research without inspection and the following Brickyard 400 was absolutely fine from a tire standpoint. They'll make mistakes from time to time but they tend to do a decent job fixing them when an issue arises.
