Once upon a time, Bristol was a tough track where it was tough to pass. It was an exercise in patience, reliability, consistency, luck, and balls.
Yes, wrecks were a part of it, but it was much more. Remember the anger? The on-track feuds? Cars punting each other out of the way on the last lap? The general craziness and excitement?

I remember it.

It's gone and the reconfiguration isn't the only reason. See my sig. ;)

"the pussification of America" is the problem?
The ladies were the angriest drivers of the weekend...

On that theme, two lady drivers got into it a bit at Hickory Motor Speedway this weekend as well:

Danica Patrick has more testosterone than Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, and Matt Kenseth combined.

Witness the pussification indeed....

Man, Lichty looked sooooo fast. Would love to go watch one of these races in person someday.

Do they still run ISMA mods at the North-South Showdown at Concord? If you're local to Bristol, it's either that or Toledo.

Oh yeah, 20 of those ISMA cars running side-by-side is something else.

No to the Winged Supers at Concord. The North-South is only the asphalt mods now. The MSA is at ACE Speedway in NC April 15th.

The MSA is at Toledo in July. MSA is the same as ISMA as far as the cars are concerned. Blonde and the Xtreme Sprints go to Salem and Winchester though. Probably a haul from TN but man alive those cars must really rock around those places.

He was first choice but didn't get the word in to the track soon enough to make the show. If they do it next year, the Rowley Rocket will be there in the Vic Miller 11 and smoke'em all.
