im glad jimmie johnson has made such a sham out of the chase. it was supposed to mix things up and make them more exciting and he just took it and shit all over it for 5 straight seasons and exposed it for the mistake that it was.

Brian France needs to be visited by the ghosts of NASCAR Proper this Christmas and be shown the error of his ways. Then we wake up Christmas morning and hear he has gotten rid of the chase. Best Christmas ever!

The France family made stock car racing pretty much. At this rate, they'll kill it.

Jimmie Johnson will win 11 titles. Back in the day before the dawn of time for most of us, when NASCAR had three competitors (USAC/AAA, ARCA/MARC and IMCA) Ernie Derr won 11 IMCA titles. But that wasn't 11 straight. Imagine what would happen if Johnson won 11 straight, or 11 titles in general.

Too bad ARCA wasn't on the ball.

Bruton will buy ARCA and go Tony George on NASCAR with it.

Frank Kimmel won 8 ARCA titles 2000-2007... yeah, it got a little annoying seeing him dominate, but there wasn't really anyone challenging him until later on in the decade(McDowell in '06, Gerhart in '07)..now with the driver development programs in that series, and the fact Frank has to run his own team as well as drive, things are little more competitive for ARCA, I know the last three years the title fight has come down to the last race, my favorite still has to be Speed/Stenhouse derping it up at Toledo, I wish I'd gone to that race.


Wonder what ASA would be like nowadays if they hadn't over-expanded by trying big tracks. I know the series with that name now is a joke, they had 8 cars show up for a 200 lapper at IRP this year.

Sounds like a lot of the front-runners in ARCA are bolting for NASCAR for 2011, though. It might be a field of veterans who look like they don't have 20 bucks in their wallets; and millionaire kids who don't even have the mental capacities to know their own names, much less know a damn thing about a stockcar.
