Harvick needs some luck and a lot of speed, otherwise we're stuck between a douche and a turd sandwich for champ.

Am I the only one that would rather see Johnson win it over Hamlin? I dont like either of em, but atleast it would mean something historically if Johnson won again.

I'm with you brah. I used to hate Jawnson like hell, but now I want him to make it 5. It would be historic.

PS I can't stand that douchebag Hamlin...

Hamlin and Johnson are the bane of my existence. Rather have Harvick win the title.

A Speedtv writer had possibly the best thing ever to say about Kyle Busch's deal today:

"A bird from the hand is worth two for the Busch."

Was out all day and finally watched the race:

As a long time Kenseth fan I was gutted he overdrove turn 1 and had Hamlin slip back by, but after the day he had overall it was an amazing comeback and a valiant effort. Really wanted him to get that.

Very happy to see the points swing out of Johnsons grasp this race. Not the biggest Hamlin fan but at this point Ill take him over Jimmie. Kudos to him on a great drive, and to Harvick as well for keeping it together after he smashed the wall late. I hope somehow of all 3 Harvick can be the one to have the biggest rally and take the title.

Im kind of hoping the crew change mid race is enough of a blow to the 48 team morale that they cannot recover the points they lost. Personally, and Im a huge Jimmie hater, I would have stuck it out to not to that to the team as a whole and regroup the next week. Having that sort of thing is going to be tough to go forward from... and Im ok with that.

Far as Jeff v Jeff, last 2 drivers Id expect to see come to "blows" these days, but it was entertaining nonetheless. Course it would have been nicer to see them finish the race and have a thing like that happen to Jimmie and Kyle.

As far as Kyles flip off penalty, the Kyle hating part of me applauds him finally getting what he deserves for his outright disrespect and immaturity in the face of a professional sport. The more level headed side... also agrees with it, not because it was caught on camera (ESPN finally catching something on camera thats a true shock), but because it was total disrespect to the official and it was called out as Actions Detrimental to NASCAR. I can agree with that 100%

And finally as ESPN decided to gloss this over all but once during the entire broadcast and not at all during post-race, big attaboy to Trevor Bayne on finishing 17th in his first cup start!

Overall a far more exciting and entertaining race that I thought it would be!

Boy, did I ever choose the wrong race to.... well... make like Chappelle in Half-Baked.

Holy hell, man, I was like "Is this really happening???" when Gordon and Burton went at it, and had my mind equally blown when Gordon's crew pitted Johnson. I mean yeah, it all came to an abrupt halt when my MOM CALLED to ask me how I felt about it, but damn...

Did that really happen?

Oh, and fuck Hamlin. Fuck 'im right up the arse. C'mon Harvick and Johnson!

Neah, RCR and Roush are two of my least favourite teams, they could all go bust. Hamlin would be an OK champion especially considering Shrub was supposed to be Gibbs' poster guy once Stewart went away. Johnson has made the history already, so I won't really care whether him or Hamlin wins, but certainly not Harvick :yuk:

Hey, remember the part where Knaus decided to swap Jimmie's pit crew with Jeff's because his screwed up, like, every stop?

Yep, he's gonna stick with Jeff's for the rest of the season.

I don't think I really like that. What message does that send to Jeff?

Well to be fair he's got no chance in the championship. More likely it tells JJ regular crew "You're shite".

Why don't they fire JJ's crew directly with that decision? That's gotta be the worst methode to get the crew motivated, I thought this race only was already pretty harsh.

Haven't heard anyone else mention this, but two fans were injured when part of a brake pad went into the Speedway Club section:

That's a long distance for that debris to cover. :o

Nice, but you'd prefer it without the artificiality

So you would rather Harvick have a 300 point lead with 2 to go. BORING!!!!

Because he did the best job over the course of the season. Not just in the last 10 races.

Yes, I would, because that's real. That's the correct way to decide a champion in motorsport. Best performance over an entire season, rather over some special ten-race stretch that renders the first 26 races meaningless.
