Surprised at the size of the truck field for Vegas. They couldn't even fill the field last year and this year they got 41 enteries. Nice to see a couple of teams that usually run the K&N West Series trying their hand in the truck series (the #62 of Greg Pursley, the #86 of Jamie Dick and the #19 of David Mayhew). Always good to see some new faces joining the series.

On the Nationwide Series entry list, I think the #79 car of Tim Andrews is the #61 team with a new number. Rick Russell, the listed owner recently bought majority ownership in Specialty Racing. Tim Andrews father, Paul is going to be the crew chief.

Not only that, but competitive entries, too, especially Pursley who scored a top 10 on debut at Iowa.

Oh yeah, thread useless without mention of DANICA FEVAR.

There's always something going on at Dover...

Yeah, Dover's been good times recently. The battle for the win in this race two years ago was absolutely classic. The first race in 2006 had an amazing battle among Kenseth, McMurray, and Harvick as well.

It also had the case last year of one of my favourite tracks+being out of the country on holiday+the race recording= guaranteed flips

This year I get to watch every moment from first practice to last, so I'm gonna predict a boring race.

Or a rain delay

Oh yeah...probably one of the best names ever. Kind of a shame he left racing in favor of real estate.

Awesome name, but also he was just a constant source of amusement with his overly-ambitious moves that resulted in stupid spins and crashes, plus his feud with Randy LaJoie. Stuff like that is hard to come by these days. :(

I know Michael Waltrip has been racing a long time, but during Nationwide practice, they gave a list of first tims NNS winners at Dover and one of the names listed was:

1888 - Michael Waltrip

So michael has been racing for at least 122 years

Martin was third but his time was disallowed after the car failed post-qualifying tech. One of the rear shocks exceeded maximum allowed pressure.

Ryan Truex clinched his second K&N East series title yesterday. Moffitt won the race and Danica Patrick finished 6th.

Yeah, and FoxSports is touting it as her first NASCAR top 10.

edit: That's cool that Truex clinched his championship at Dover, fitting place for that family.
