Jamie nailed it in the interview. He said "the fans are amazing, though I think it's just because I beat Kyle". It might also be a little bit of what you said - then again, get a few beers in us fans, and it's all the same.

i live 35 minutes away and could hear the cheers!! sad they took a race away from this track.. why not take one away from michigan or pocono instead...
with all the fences and state patrol, the traffic isnt worth the hassle to go to the race at atlanta anymore. there was a time when you just left however you wanted. backroads, through the woods, whatever, but now they funnel everyone out one way..

So, where are you at?

But yeah, traffic is horrible. My brother is getting married tomorrow, and we have to get him out of here past the race traffic. Not really looking forward to it.

im south of the speedway. half way between forsyth and barnsville ga. the last few years we always went up hwy 41 instead of coming in off I75. that way you could head south when you leave the track. i was forced north one year leaving the track and ended up just outside of atlanta before i was able to get back south.
i took my kids to the truck race earlier this year, and the traffic wasnt to bad. but how many people go to a truck race compared to a cup race! lol

Awesome, I go to school down in Barnesville, and I think I've gone past Forsyth a time or two. Nice towns.

Back when I lived in Fayetteville, I would always come in from the backside, Woolsey Road or whatever it's called, go up through there, pretty good way to avoid most of the traffic.
