Absolutely amazed there hasn't been a thread created for this weekend, so here goes:

Gateway International Raceway
1.25 mile egg-shaped oval
11 degree banking in Turns 1 & 2, 9 degree banking in Turns 3 & 4

Nationwide Series Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers 250
Entry List; 49 entries
TV scheudle
Qualifying: Saturday 4:30pm ET - ESPN2
Race: Saturday 7:30pm ET - ESPN2 (green flag just after 8pm ET)
Dave Burns will be in the booth handling play-by-play duties for this one... Image

Camping World Truck Series CampingWorld.com 200
Entry list, 44 entries, which would go close to being a season high
TV scheudle
Race: Friday 8:30pm ET - SPEED (green flag just after 9pm ET)

Mansfield Motorsports Park
1/2 mile oval

ARCA Racing Series Image Memorial 200
Entry list, 32 entries

Race scheudled for 8pm ET Saturday. No TV coverage as far as I'm aware, but I'm sure you boys will find some streams of this one.

At this point, they'll end up giving play-by-play duties to Rusty Wallace or Brad Daughtery.

Dave has experience doing play-by-play. He did then Camping World East/West for HDNet in 2006/2007 for select races.

Honestly; He wasn't that bad.

The way that dude did the national anthem would have made Jimi Hendrix proud.

Anyone remember when they qualified that one time at Talladega in 2000 at night?

That was pretty cool.

I don't remember that. And I've been watching NASCAR since 1987. Is there video of that?

Quote:
But last night, by the time qualifying for tomorrow's Diehard 500 was nearing an end, darkness had settled. Jeff Burton took his car on the track for the final qualifying run of the day at 8:40 p.m. Somehow, it seemed a relief when his oil pump seized and he couldn't finish his two-lap trial on this 2.66-mile tri-oval, with its leering high banks and menacing curves.

But the fading light did not stop Jeremy Mayfield, who made his run as evening light faded. He pushed his Ford around the track at 186.969 mph to capture his first pole of the season and the third of his seven-year career.

Bill Elliott, who dominated superspeedway racing before the coming of restrictor plates, took the outside pole with a lap of 186.939. A third Ford driver, Dale Jarrett (186.747), was third fastest.

And I thought SPEED over here was not showing the race. They are showing a repeat of the Chicago race, and I was yelling at the TV "SHOW ME MY TROOCKS!!"
