Kurt Busch 7th
Jimmie Johnson 31st
Kyle Busch 40th.

I'm pretty sure none of us thought we'd see that before the race started.

Dale Jr's interviews make Kimi Raikkonen's seem exciting.

2nd. But considering how this race went, I'll take it. Also there was either 47 or 48 lead changes, that would just about tie the record for this race, crazy.

Just a crazy race. It was pretty awesome at the beginning but then it just went all to hell. Cool to see Harvick win, I've always kinda liked him. Dale Jr pulls off a top 5 somehow. They were wrecking all the way to, and after the finish.

What a race.

That was a pretty good race, even at the end there with almost no one left. Was kind of interesting during the first half's long green run when they got all strung out and people were just passing each other on their own, pretty unusual plate racing even for Daytona. Lots of people just up and spinning out (or almost spinning out) on their own, too. Wonder how it'll be next year after the repaving job? I bet it'll make it more like Talladega where handling isn't as much of an issue as it's been the past several years.

Did it seem like TNT brought the B-team this week? They were having all kinds of technical glitches and mistakes all night long (missing audio, leaving mics on the pit reporters hot, quite a few long silences and camera shots of nothing, replays cutting out and skipping around, graphics mistakes, etc.), and I swear it seemed like they had fewer cameras than usual. First several laps were making me dizzy the way they kept showing nothing but one outside-wall camera quick pan after another, and it seemed like they didn't have any good angles on several places around the speedway. Kind of strange for a Cup broadcast.

All that action at the end and I had to miss it thanks to the rain delay. :( From now on I'll make sure any future races I DVR end at least an hour+ over schedule.

All the racing was for the first 140 laps. The rest was a demo derby.

Is it just me or does Elliott Sadler always run well at restrictor plate races and then get taken out every single time?

I wish they had a replay of what happened with Kenseth and Martin.. none of the replays showed what happened in time.. too bad, cause despite how bad his car was, he could've had a shot, although that damage probably kept him out of the big juan.

This is what Kenseth said:
Quote:
I don't know if Mark got hit or what, but I was running down through three and four and got hit in the right rear and ended up in the wall and that was kind of the end of our day.

I must say, that wasn't the kind of race I expected.. it was cool but I hated it too (mainly cause Kenseth was so slow). I was bummed that Harvick won, but I'd rather him than Gordon. At the end though, holy ridiculous.
