It might be a little low, but I can understand that people are fed up with Jimmie Johnson. Seeing an underdog lose a race due to something stupid, then have the race go to a driver that a lot of people dislike is going to strike an emotional chord.

You should probably pay attention to the broadcast. NASCAR would have been wrong NOT to make that call.

I hated it but it had to be done. As soon as he stopped and got passed I knew they weren't going to let him get back in front. So stupid too. There's now way he should have been anywhere close to having to worry about fuel.

As much as I hate it, I'm gutted as well. I thought he had a mechanical problem or stalled his car. No way you can save fuel when you can make it all the way.

Johnson was so ridiculously fast today though. I know Ambrose was comfortably ahead of him before that last caution, but you never know how that restart would have gone. Edwards/JV were miles ahead yesterday, and Johnson/Ambrose were today. Would have been a bit more interesting if there were more contenders, but I'll take almost anything after last week's dud of a race.

Well, boys this is my last Sprint Cup race ever unless it's Dega or Tona. NASCAR made it obvious that come hell or high water, Jimmie was winning this race today. Most bullshit I have seen since Regan Smith. NASCAR is terrible. I hate them.

I am a huge fan of Ambrose, have been since his formula ford days. But he has got snatching defeat from the jaws of victory down to a fine art.

You should probably pay attention to the broadcast. NASCAR would have been wrong NOT to make that call.

Which they would've done had it been the other way round

This wouldn't be a problem if NASCAR was totally consistent with all their decisions. But they're not. It's the "right" call but that you know that they'd have done differently had it been a front-runner as opposed to a midfielder, let alone a furrerner, makes it a bullshit call. Especially considering how many cars Keselowski and Jeff drove into today without punishment

You're definitely out of your mind, James. Grasping at straws and making huge assumptions like that is a weak and flawed argument. It's cool if you're mad about what happened but you're just plain wrong about the call.

Marcos Ambrose

"I didn't stop, the car kept rolling."

Don't think so Marcos.

I still don't understand what Ambrose was doing though, you'd think that it would be better to shut off the car going downhill rather than stopping on the steepest uphill portion of the track

Yeah, he sure was...with 2 mp/h maybe. :p

He did wrong there and deserved the "penalty". It's in the rules, you have to maintain speed and he simply ignored that. That really is a painful mistake he surely will think about quite long.

Magnussen did a great job today. He drove a clean, calm race and finished 12th. Really deserved that spot. :)
