Mason Mitchell Motorsports announced they were ceasing operations this morning. That adds to a list of teams that have either ceased operations as well or cut back on their schedules, like Schrader, Praytor and the #23. Car counts for some of the leftover short track races might get pretty slim, which is sad to see.

Sounds like Empire Racing bought all of Mason Mitchell's equipment. They might be going full-time next year, maybe with Thad Moffitt driving.

Dylan Martin (raced for Empire Racing in several races over the past couple years) ended up getting in a horrible motorcycle crash on Sunday, sound like he is injured pretty bad from what I've heard. He & his family could use all of the prayers & positive vibes that they can get at this time.

I found out about it from Zippy's Facebook page. He is a good friend of Zippy. Apparently a car pulled out in front of him and he hit it. He suffered a lot of broken bones and a head injury, according to what his father posted. He's in critical condition.

Christian Eckes is going to run for the ARCA Championship with Venturini Motorsports. You'd have to call him one of the early favorites for the championship.

Post subject:  ARCA | 2020 plans announced

NASCAR has announced the future plans for ARCA in 2020.

ARCA's primary championship will become the ARCA Menards Series | National Championship - it will continue to feature 20 races. 10 of those races will be apart of the new Showdown Championship. Rules package has been modified to allow K&N cars into the series.

ARCA will add 2 regional series to their banner, as they will take over the K&N East / K&N West from NASCAR. Those series will feature 6 to 8 races each year, and will run the same rules as the ARCA series for crossover between National + Showdown & the regional tours.

Several tracks that host ARCA & K&N dates currently have merged their dates into 1, most notably Iowa was the first to announce their date merger as the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour takes over the old K&N date.

FOX Sports & MavTV / LucasOilRacing.TV will continue to broadcast ARCA Menards Series | National races - all 20 of them (including showdown rounds) will be live. NBCSN will continue to have tape delay coverage of the ARCA regional series races.
