Not yet, no. I think they're working on sponsorship for Nationwide.

I thought it was already set in stone that Bubba was going to the Xfinity series....If he get's screwed out of a ride, NASCAR truly has failed. Great to see Dipshit Kryle will only spoil 4 races next year in Trucks. Sadly I'm sure he's running plenty in the 54 Xfinity car next year :yuk:

Considering Darrell is by and large the most successful African-American driver in NASCAR today, and that NASCAR loves to tout its NASCAR Next program as a strong proving ground for minority talent, it would be a travesty if KBM/JGR dropped the ball on a guy with huge racing potential and major marketing opportunities by not moving him up the ladder.

In time and with the right support, he could be the minority superstar NASCAR has been dreaming of. The Lewis Hamilton of stock car racing. Squander it, and he's just another Bill Lester.

Grant Enfinger will be running trucks full time for Gallagher in the #21 as Joey Coulter has been released.

It's that time again, for everyone's favorite topic: Danica!

So we are comparing Danica to Kyle Larson?

To be totally honest I can't stand Danica, but that's not a fair article. She finished ahead of Tony almost what… 65%-70% of the races this year? She was in the top 10 a lot this season, even if the results didn't show.

Anyway, I'm fine with bashing someone if it's deserved but in this case it's not.

Wasn't she behind Tony in the standings despite him missing a few races? And I've lost count of the number of times we had a debris caution just as she was being lapped. She's improved very slightly, but still sucks given the quality of her equipment and crew.

Good call those guys seemed to work well in making the ARCA program a success and Coulter just never got it done. That's my breakout team pick next year.

Tony (missed 3 races) finished 25th in points, Danica 28th, 64 points behind him. Here's their (and Kurt's) 2014 summary.

Danica:
Quote:
36 starts, 10220 of 10541 laps completed (97.0%), 15 laps led

Win: 0 ( 0.0%) Average start: 22.3
Top 5: 0 ( 0.0%) Average finish: 23.7
Top 10: 3 ( 8.3%) DNF: 4

Tony:
Quote:
33 starts, 9306 of 9751 laps completed (95.4%), 125 laps led

Win: 0 ( 0.0%) Average start: 16.5
Top 5: 3 ( 9.1%) Average finish: 20.0
Top 10: 7 ( 21.2%) DNF: 4

Kurt:
Quote:
36 starts, 10025 of 10541 laps completed (95.1%), 220 laps led

Win: 1 ( 2.8%) Average start: 13.5
Top 5: 6 ( 16.7%) Average finish: 18.9
Top 10: 11 ( 30.6%) DNF: 6

I like how the article acts like that's a surprise. Hello? One major win in her life was a fuel gamble payoff by her crew chief and you expect anything other than mediocrity from her in the arguably most competitive series in the world?

Fans (not a single credited journalist) on Twitter mentioned a "Jeff Gordon conference" on December 2nd. That's the first day of the banquet, so a "conference" doesn't automatically mean "OMG RETIREMENT PRESS CONFERENCE".

I wouldn't be completely surprised if it ended up being the case, but this is just a case of people jumping the gun.

Correction: One major win in her life was a fuel gamble payoff by her crew chief against half the field in Japan while the other half was in Long Beach for their own race.
