So we all know Denny Hamlin has 2 wins and 12 playoff points that set him up very nicely for the postseason.

However, he averages 21 top ten finishes per year over the last 8 seasons. In 19 races this year, he only has 4 top tens! :8:

Maybe not the best season, but who cares. You can win two races and be in top 30 max for the rest of the regular season and still have the same chances as guy who won 3/4 of the races
