Needs more Cope twins.

Well I'm sure Karthikeyan, Papis, Cobb, and Craig Goess will cause the amount of carnage needed for a successful DEGA

Dont forget Piquet.

I still cant believe how lucky i was on the spring race last year. I asked my mom to see if the race was still on and i caught the last 3 laps and then the crash happened. We were both like "Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!" as Edwards went flying.

DEGA thread title is misleading.... Just the DEGA 499?!?

Aren't ARCA and TR00KS the companion series this week @ DEGA?

DEGA

Rick Crawford's truck did everything it could last year to take off, just didn't quite get all the way up in the air.

Does anyone remember what mods they made to the trucks to keep them on the ground after several airbornez a number of years ago @ Daytona? Did they just slow them down? I thought they added something or other to reduce their tendency to lift....

The term "side valance" jumps to mind, but I could be wrong.

That's what I was thinking too. There a helluva lot of ground clearance under those trucks back then.

I think they put a window in the passenger side door so the air wouldn't get in the truck.

And they put in the tapered spacer. Brought them down from about 190 to about 175.

They'll get well above 175 in packs though. 190 sounds about right for race pace.

Welcome to....................................................
DEGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, where else is there a possibility of a curse? And that thing the African-American (or Indian or whatever) guy did last year to remove the "curse," didn't seem to help as Edwards hit the catchfence and we had two cars upside down and Jamie McMurray winning.

Remember, this was about 5-6 years ago, as well as at daytona. w/o the tapered spacer, they'd be well above the speeds the cup cars run nowadays.
