The hats *are* kinda dumb... kinda like "MAN I'M SO HARDCORE SOUTHERN I TELL YOU WHAT". Of course, Dale Sr. sometimes wore a straw hat too... I'm sure some people are wondering who those kids think they really are.

Generally the older guys wear the cowboy hats and stuff because that's what they grew up and went through the sport like. A young guy wearing it is probably doing it to show off. And if anyone is demanding the #3 on his car, and wearing a cowboy hat, he's just being an ass.

All this time, I thought the Dillion's using the #3 was Richard's idea.

Parker Kligermann won the pole for the truck race. Kyle Larson starts second after running an identical lap time to Kligermann. Mario Gosselin returns to the series in the #84 truck. The DNQ's were Mike Harmon and Sean Corr.

I think Denny's team forgot something, because his car was complete poop on that qualifying run.

Wow, I never heard about that. What a jackass.

I personally hate the Dillons because of the nepotism. Both have had tons of advantages compared to a lot of drivers who weren't fortunate enough to be related to Richard Childress, with access to lots of money and the best equipment. They are great drivers yes, but I do find it more satisfying to cheer against them rather than for them. I like rooting for the underdog, and I don't see them as underdogs whatsoever. I see them as an example of what I wish NASCAR wasn't influenced by so much - money and connections.

I don't think it was a case of demanding it, but more of a "please grandad can I run it?" and if you've got kids you know there's not a Grandparent on this Earth that can say no to their Grandkids, it's inbuilt genetically (especially for one in Childress's position).

Temiree pretty much sums up why I don't like them, if they were not related to Childress, they'd be just another driver working 3 jobs to race (or cold calling sponsors like Timothy Peters) and probably finishing no better than Danica each week, they are privileged kids because of their family ties which get's them the best equipment money can buy, these guys are ten a penny in motorsports.

btw, if anybody needs a stream for the trucks:

This has been easily the best Truck Series season in years. Hopefully next year will have more of the same!

The announcers seem to be ignoring Timothy Peters and the race hasn't even started yet...

I love how people say Austin demanded the 3 but nobody can even slightly prove it.
