What possessed Kyle to run the truck race instead of the Nationwide race? I know his family is originally from the Chicago area, but isn't the Nationwide owner's title a little more important than at truck race?

Probably because going for the Truck win is more of a challenge than the Nationwide car - regardless of whether or not it's at a road course, a TBK sim racer could win for JGR in the Nationwide series. As much as I can't stand Kyle, he's a racer, and would probably go for the challenge and self-gratitude of running for his own team.

You're probably right about him wanting to win in his own equipment, but I don't think the truck race would be more of a challenge than winning a Nationwide on a road course.

As if Kyle Busch is racing for the challenge of it.

Meh, he's driving the 18, and he's a pretty good road course racer. I'd say he'd almost have it in the bag... but then again, you never know I guess.

Craig Goess is on pole for tonights ARCA race, Followed by Patrick Sheltra, Casey Roderick, Mikey Kile, and Justin Marks.

Pretty sad that there are cars over 4 seconds off pace in qualifying in this race.

One and done?
Two, counting his own?
EDIT: Looks like Kile has less suspension damage than I thought. Watch out!

Didn't they say the 81 was dropping oil on the track?

His car doesn't look damaged enough to be out of the race. It's roughed up but he'll have more chances tonight I think. :p

In short, he's a real piece of work and I'd love to see him DNQ.

Well if he makes the race, he won't last any more than 2 laps, because he'll be valet parking that car.

Also, DJ Kennington will replace Eric McClure in the 24. Sad part about that is, Kennington is a big-time upgrade over McClure.

I asked Eric in Bristol last week if he missed racing at Lonesome Pine Raceway (in Coeburn, Va.)?

He said, "Yeah, cause it's the last time I won a race."

He won one career race at Coeburn in the Street Stock series, not even a late model.

It's not surprising, cars are expensive.

I don't know what Hylton has. I've seen a few "hybrids" before at other events.

Mikey Kile in trouble again.
