For the first time in a while, Harvick isn't leading. He fell to 4th on pit stops.

McMurray hit the wall. Might be the end of the day for him.

It is.

That's probably damage that could be fixed but would take more than a few minutes.

It looks like Kurt Busch moved up to avoid Martin Truex Jr. and Chase Elliott was there.

That was a butt-kicking by Harvick.

They rigged it so that part of the roof deflects at high speed to allow more air on the spoiler. He probably won't be quite so 'freaky fast' once NASCAR gets wind of this...

I glanced at a couple articles about it. Chase Elliott seems to think it's not why he won (so I assume he's not of the opinion that it's a performance advantage).

I'm kinda torn on what to think. I agree that it's totally conceivable that they'd rig it up like SB83 said on purpose. On the other hand, it's SO EASY to spot that it also seems like a big risk.

The car obviously passed tech but it's really all about what happens to it at full speed.

Did it do the same thing at Atlanta?

I want to say Johnson got busted on this at daytona several years ago Knaus rigged the car to to just that when a trackbar adjustment was made

The Knaus thing was the rear window opening when Jimmie activated a lever. A real Smokey Yunick inspired contraption.:D

NASCAR are investigating it. Childers claims it was a failure (of course) but NASCAR will decide whether to cucumber the win or not.

Even if they cucumber it, it makes no difference to his playoff eligibility (cos of Atlanta).
