Absolutely awesome. Didn't expect it. So Jr is running his AC Delco scheme at Darlington and 1st Bud scheme at Homestead. Talk about fuckin nailing it.

Here is Michael McDowell's car for Darlington. It's painted like the car that Alan Kulwicki drove his rookie year.

Kevin Harvick is running this car in the Xfinity Series race at Darlington. The car is using the original Hunt Brothers paint scheme.

Landon Cassill is currently throwing a fit on Twitter because he was planning on running the same tribute this year:

It's like when two women show up to the same place wearing the same dress.

To be fair, Alan did run both variations of this scheme in 1986.

Corey LaJoie's throwback car for Darlington. It's based off Davey Allison's xfinity scheme in 1984-1985.

That's his Dash Series car. I don't think the Sportsman/Busch car had the stripe on it.

Not to mention that I don't think Toyotas were racing in the Busch series in the 80s.

I was hoping Corey would run Randy's old Fina BGN scheme, but I suppose this is a decent alternative.

Derrike Cope (Darlington, based off Cope's 1995-96 Mane 'n Tail scheme - supposedly Mane 'n Tail is actually sponsoring him in the race)

Mike Harmon (Darlington, based off Red Farmer's Cup scheme circa 1975)

That's pretty cool for Cope to have the sponsor of his throwback scheme to actually be sponsoring him... too bad the car will suck and be slow.

I mean...he wasn't exactly great when he ran that scheme either so it is rather fitting.

Yet that scheme was from the season he had the highest points ranking of his career (he finished 15th in the 1995 points standings).

Wow, so in 1990 when he actually won 2 races, he didn't finish 15th or higher in the standings? That's pretty amazing.

He ran second at Phoenix in 1995 with that scheme.
