Good race for all of the laps I did watch (got home at 45 laps to go, was listening to the PRN radio broadcast on the way).

Really like NBC's coverage so far as well on all levels.

One thing I'll say, even back in their 1st stint, NBC always had a classy way of things. The closest we will ever get again to old ESPN. FOX is decent but a bit childish. They drag Mike Joy down.

Edit: with the exception of Bill Weber in the booth.

Kyle busch should not be allowed to compete for the title because he did not show up for class for most of the year. Everyone who thinks otherwise is drinking the kool-aid.

There were a total of 2,665 green flag passes throughout the entire field, compared to 1,147 last year (and most since 2011).

If they gave JAFF a spot in '13 because they felt sorry for him, even though there were 25 other races for him to get into the Chase, then I see no reason why Kyle doesn't deserve in.

I admire how well Kyle has done since his return, but I'm not comfortable with him being able to win the championship having missed a ton of races. Part of me wants to see it happen just because of how stupid it will look.

As for the racing, it definitely looked like an improvement over the usual 1.5 mile races of late. It was nice to see a return of cars being able to loosen up the car in front, rather than just losing downforce themselves and washing up the track.

It's a good start, but I hope they don't stop there. I still think the splitter is pointless and that the cars could be raised off the ground just a little bit. Most importantly, a bit more horsepower would really make them fun to watch.

If they don't break top 30, it's going to sting if they would've if not for the Michigan/Dover DNFs.

NASCAR wants to be like the NFL. The team took part in all the races. If an NFL QB misses 8 games but comes back in week 9 and leads his team into the playoff's is he not allowed to play?

Technically it's not the same comparison. The Chase is a "drivers" championship. The team itself is in their own "team" championship battle aka the shitty owners championship......... That's the answer you'll be told.

At Darlington, this same package will be used but with special tyres designed for it, presuming softer with more falloff. That should be even awesome-er than Kentucky was.

Special tires?

Hopefully they'll be matched perfect and staggered special. :flag:
