That video just made my weekend.

I did find it incredibly convenient that they didn't throw the caution when Jr pulled out a lead. Oh well. That win will surely come this year.

FWIW, in the age where everyone has a DVR, it's pretty easy to just go back several minutes, and film something ridiculous to put on youtube.

It was BS that they didn't throw the caution. If any other driver was leading they would have thrown the yellow immediately. It's in their best interest to get as many GWC's as possible, especially on the 1.5 mile tracks.

Yeah, but then again, NASCAR's historically threw iffy caution flags. Always throw them when they weren't needed at the most intense moment.

I think they did the right thing, I mean Jeff Burton didn't hit the wall or nothing and he kept going so I didn't see a reason to throw a caution with 2 laps to go. Dale Jr. was going to run out of gas anyways so he was shit out of luck caution or no caution.

Exactly. The only way Jr. was going to be able to finish the race under power would be if it had gone the normal 600 mile distance. He, along with Biffle, Kahne, and I think Hamlin also ran out were all screwed when the original caution came out for Johnson's engine going. After that happened they all weren't going to make it, caution or no caution.

People always complain when NASCAR throws the caution in those situations. This time they didn't, they let the race play out and it ending up being probably more intense than it would have been if they had thrown that caution. Probably tore up less cars because of it too.

It was a no win for NASCAR, throw the yellow, piss of Jr fans.. don't throw the yellow, and piss off the fans for most of the other drivers.

It does seem like lately they try to avoid throwing a yellow near the end of the race.. I thought for sure there was going to be a yellow at Dover or at Texas when Kenseth was leading near the end.
