Soooo, still looking likely for the 7.13 start? Never would have imagined the weather would do this to the 500 when up in Western NY yesterday it was GLORIOUS all day. Bit nippy but otherwise sunshiny.

Really hope they at least get it started. All the uncertainty over possible rain at any time should prevent 400 miles of nursing the machinery. A shortened epic race would be better than a full length borefest until the last half hour. :D

The nearest shower is currently due west of the track and is moving southwest i.e. it is going to miss.

american SPEED, define it well, because brazilian SPEED is showing Andra...which means, "we don't have anything else left to show...we're so fed up waiting the Daytona 500 that we'll put Andra"

Nothing yet, but storms are popping off like popcorn all over the state. Mostly to the south of Daytona for the moment.

The next storm behind is also moving southwest.

Looks like a good monday night crowd. The lights are on and the cars are gleaming. NASCAR's biggest night ever about to begin in 30 minutes! Man this is exciting.
