They'd have to start by penalising themselves, since ISC owns some of the most underattended tracks on the schedule.

At 42min30 Stan Fox spins, I was wondering if anyone had a clue of what is on the TV panel of his car, it looks like there is a checkered flag in the middle maybe, maybe it's a long running product, would it ring a bell to anyone please ?

Can't really tell. The white text is "We're the Inside Guys", a slogan of Carrier Heating & Cooling at the time.

Yes Jeff I found them all around the car except that specific panel.

Thanks for giving a shot but the TV panel is the vertical one on the rear end behind the spoiler. The other event he ran at Talladega has the same panel but still no hint about what it is.

At some glances - it looks like it's a phone number (1-800-CARRIER?)

Maybe faster speeds at Dega and Tona?

I doubt it, because the new car just isn't really gonna have the power. It's probably more just a matter of them trying to find more ways to keep the cars on the ground, since they still find ways to soar. I feel like Larson's wreck at Talladega in the Spring was particularly concerning, because there was no grass, no damage to his car, and it still took off without even being pushed by another car.

when larson got hit in the right front it created a pocket for the air to generate lift. seen that happen a couple times before, and i'd be surprised if they dont address that in the new design as well

Now I see Seirei (japanese "spirit"?) written SEI(checkered flag)REI. Oh well...

Ross Chastain will drive the #6 in Cup this weekend. No comment on if a replacement driver will be needed beyond then or who it would be.

It'll probably be a decision made race by race.

And by the time Ryan returns, I'd assume they could at least have a relief driver available if he doesn't feel good during a race weekend.

We have had our first Barstool-related incident of the year. It started with one of the most out-of-left-field questions I think any of us have seen in a press conference:

[tweet]https://twitter.com/aliciacook103/status/1231771134506369024[/tweet]

Then, Jim Utter seemed to imply that Barstool had something to do with it.

[tweet]https://twitter.com/jim_utter/status/1231763959864127488[/tweet]

Since then, Barstool's fans have gone after Utter almost non-stop. After Matt Weaver called the harassment "unwarranted," Dave Portnoy sent his minions after Weaver:

[tweet]https://twitter.com/stoolpresidente/status/1232102800332640256[/tweet]

This was bound to happen.

Dave and his Barstool minions are absolute cancer. Worst of the worst.

you know the series is in a bad spot when there's more drama in the media center (between the standard reporters, the Barstool click, and the YouTuber / influencer crowd) than on the track

The question is how this Mark Anthony DiBello guy actually got credentials. This guy is hardly an "influencer", he's a over-puffed lunatic.

(I'm not going to bother linking to his web site, but it's the sort of crazy site you'd expect from someone who pretends they have oodles of the Talent of Everything, but don't. The key here is there is *zero* racing content in any of his media. Apparently this isn't the first time this guy has done this. Who greenlit the press passes? They need to learn to Google.)

I think Portnoy tweeted in response to Utter that Barstool was never at Las Vegas, but I agree with Chris that Barstool is trash. I have never cared for Dave Portnoy or any of his minions.

NASCAR is giving out media passes like candy these days because they are so desperate for attention

Changing the subject to something a little more healthy, I just learned that in 2007 Russ Wicks used a modified Nascar car to register the fastest speed ever recorded by a Nascar, 394 kmh or 244 mph
