That's a shame. Pursley was doing very good.

This racing on the restarts is insane.
Doesn't seem to be affecting him too much though. He's already back up to the top 10.

Green White Checkered because of a flat right front for Jason White.

That was the first time a #3 truck has won in the truck series since Bryan Reffner won a race about 10 years ago. Greg Pursley finished in the top 10 in his debut with a brand new team to the truck series. That's very impressive. I hope the #62 team runs some more races this year because they look to be very competitive right off the bat.

Bit of backmarker info - Carl Long finished 20th in a truck with a junk engine and the wrong gearing and 2 sets of tires (one of which had 70 laps on them prior to the race start) yet he didn't park. Food for thought for the Prism and D'Hondts of the NASCAR world?

It was Rusty saying dumbass.

Quote:
Rusty apologizes for remark: Rusty Wallace apologizes for comment at Kyle Busch during Nationwide race ESPN broadcaster Rusty Wallace apologized Monday for an expletive he directed toward Kyle Busch during Friday night's Nationwide broadcast from Chicagoland Speedway. The comment could be heard after Busch finished his Victory Lane interview. Said Wallace in a statement from ESPN: "At the end of Friday night's telecast, I made an unfortunate remark regarding Kyle Busch. There's no excuse and I certainly know better. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone including Kyle for my mistake." Wallace made the comment after Busch referenced the fans who booed him after he won the race. Wallace then can be heard uttering a one-word comment. An ESPN spokesman said the network would not suspend Wallace for the comment and stated: "ESPN has spoken to Rusty and he understands his remark was uncalled for.''(Virginian Pilot)(7-13-2010)

It takes one to know one, Russell. I thought Kyle's comments were hilarious.

If you go to 1:38 in that video you hear Kyle Busch saying that he didnt know if the fans didnt like his donuts or what, and at 1:43 you hear someone that sounds like Rusty Wallace that says "Dumbass."

Good call, who pointed this out to you?

It's been on news sites, because someone complained. They said Rusty won't be fined or suspended.

Most accurate bit of commentary from Rusty I've ever heard.

Not accurate though to be honest. Kyle was clearly just being a bit sarcastic. You could call him a number of names for that I suppose but anything with "dumb" in it isn't quite right since he knew exactly what he was doing.

I gained a bit of respect for Rusty from this one. I think "dumbass" is a perfectly appropriate term for Kyle with what he said - bitching about not getting support from fans after you dominate yet another race in a second-tier series you don't need to be in is, by definition, dumb.

I dunno... Busch seems to think that doing very well in a lower-tier series, and not at all making it any more exciting for the fans, deserves praise when he sugar-coats it with a burnout. If that is indeed how he feels, then yes, he is indeed a dumbass.

Never thought I'd say this about Rusty during either his driving days or even post-retirement, but good call!
