That #4 is amazing. What makes it even cooler is that Eric McClure, the son of Larry McClure, who co-owned Ernie's #4, is one of the team owners. It sounds like Thompson on July 8 is going to be a throwback-themed race for the K&N East Series. The #43 is based off the #51 Coors Extra Gold Oldsmobile that Mike McLaughlin raced in the Busch North Series in the early 90's.

Thompson is going to be a throwback race, with emphasis on Busch North history but some cars (such as MMR and Rev) are running paint schemes from Cup & Busch as well

around 5 throwback races this year in total across NASCAR (Darlington, Thompson), Supercars (Sandown) and CARS Tour (Hickory)

ARCA also has a throwback race right?

Ernie and Jared Irvin as well as Eric McClure were all here at the office yesterday. Would have loved to have gone up and said hello, but they were all having dinner with our marketing team, so thought they might have been talking about potential future sponsorship or something and didn't want to interrupt. It was good to at least see Ernie though.

If only the chain of events that led to Ernie leaving Morgan-McClure hadn't occurred... I really think Ernie would have got MM a championship in the Kodak car had he stayed.
